How much of a book or journal can I photocopy?

Under UK law, for the purposes of private study or research for a non-commercial purpose you can make a single copy of:

* One chapter or 5% of extracts from a published work.

* One article from an issue of a journal / periodical.

If you copy more than the above, you will be in breach of copyright.
