A way with WRDS

Looking for in-depth financial data? Then WRDS is the interface for you. Through WRDS you can access a wide range of financial resources. We subscribe to the following via WRDS:

• Compustat – company financials (North America only)
• CRSP – stock prices
• Eventus – event studies using CRSP data
• I/B/E/S – estimates
• RiskMetrics – corporate governance

Why WRDS?

The difference between WRDS and our other company and financial databases is that this data is specialised and for advanced company research, not available elsewhere, and retrievable via PC SAS. The data is from such names as S&P, Thomson Reuters and Morgan Stanley.

Can I get an account?

Faculty and PhD students can register for their own individual account. Shared ‘class’ accounts are available for all other students. Contact the Information and Library Services team for more information.
